Guided tour | The unknown stories of female prisoners in Kamp Amersfoort
To mark International Women’s Day, Nationaal Monument Kamp Amersfoort is offering special guided tours on March 8 and 9, focusing on the around 700 women imprisoned in Kamp Amersfoort. Who were they? Why were they detained? And what happened to them? During the tour, you will learn about the impressive stories of four women from different backgrounds: a Jewish woman, a Jehovah's Witness, a woman involved in the Resistance and an American hostage. Their personal accounts bring history closer and offer insight into the experiences of female prisoners during wartime.
