Special Guided Tour | The unknown history of female prisoners of Kamp Amersfoort

To mark International Women’s Day, Nationaal Monument Kamp Amersfoort is offering special guided tours on March 8 and 9, focusing on the around 700 women imprisoned in Kamp Amersfoort. Who were they?

Why were they detained? And what happened to them?

During the tour, you’ll discover the stories of four women from different backgrounds: a Jewish woman, a Jehovah’s Witness, a woman involved in the resistance, and an American hostage.

Their personal accounts bring history closer and offer insight into the experiences of female prisoners during wartime.
